Topic: Displacement: The grass is always greener w/ displacement.

This is my go at a simple Hedge or grass using the new cool displace map function in Vray 1.08. I wanted to create hedge like this:
I started with a simple chamfer box, with its default mapping type. We used a hedge photo as a tex map and as a displacement map:
Definitely a mapping problem:
Then we changed to a box mapping, added some noise to the base geometry, and turned on GI Irradiance maps:
and voila:
With this displacement maps you can easily prodcue hedge, grass, etc.
